Boston City Hall Exhibit, Photographs and Poetry JULY 9—AUGUST 30, 2012

Here are three photographs from my recent visit from Boston to Morocco. I have taught, met and interviewed Moroccans in our own multicultural city—students, salespeople, bank employees, waiters who are open and culturally rich—expatriates and long-time residents, and newcomers. I recognized the Moroccan character of tolerance a few years ago when I attended a Boston area Mimounah—a Moroccan post-Passover celebration with music, food and friendship between Moslems and Jews. I've read there are at least 23,0000 Moroccans in Boston.

  1. Boston is a wonderful blend of stylish sophistication and historic New England charm. You can easily uncover the city's past while enjoying its distinctively modern
    edge while traveling by rail.
